BURTON ISD

Located at 701 N. Railroad Street in Burton, Texas, Burton Independent School District is an active, traditional public school system serving a rural remote community within the broader Brenham area. Operating two school campuses, the district provides a continuous PK–12 educational pathway, taking students seamlessly from their early childhood years through high school graduation. Designed to offer an inclusive and stable academic environment, Burton ISD functions as an independent, non-charter district committed to delivering quality education tailored to the needs of its surrounding region.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, Burton ISD serves a total enrollment of 623 students, comprising 334 male and 289 female learners across all primary and secondary grade levels. The student body reflects a diverse community, including 456 White, 103 Hispanic, and 41 Black students, alongside multiracial and other student groups. To foster strong academic guidance and individualized attention, the district is backed by a robust workforce of over 191 full-time equivalent staff members. This team includes 104 dedicated teachers, 11 instructional aides, and more than 76 support personnel, ensuring that students receive comprehensive instruction, care, and resource access throughout their educational journey.
