COMFORT ISD

Located at 232 High Street in Comfort, Texas, Comfort Independent School District is an active, traditional public school system serving families within the broader San Antonio-New Braunfels metropolitan area. Characterized by its distant rural setting, the district operates three school campuses that provide a continuous academic pathway spanning from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Operating as a regular public, non-charter district, Comfort ISD offers a close-knit educational environment rooted in community values, offering full-day learning opportunities across all elementary, middle, and high school grade levels.

For the 2024–2025 academic year, the district serves a total enrollment of 1,072 students, including 562 male and 510 female learners. The student body is culturally diverse, composed of 662 Hispanic students, 390 White students, and additional representation among multiracial, Black, Asian, Pacific Islander, and American Indian students. To maintain high instructional quality and supportive campus operations, Comfort ISD employs a dedicated workforce of approximately 281 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members. This staffing complement includes roughly 169 FTE classroom teachers, 16 instructional aides, and over 95 support personnel, ensuring students receive consistent guidance, specialized care, and academic resources throughout their school journey.
