BROOKS COUNTY ISD

Located at 200 W. Adams St. in Falfurrias, Texas, Brooks County ISD operates as an active, traditional public school district dedicated to serving its local community. Situated in a remote town setting within the Alice metro region, the district manages five operational schools that provide a continuous educational pathway spanning from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. As a non-charter public entity, the district offers comprehensive academic programs across all primary and secondary grade levels, ensuring local families have access to a complete PK–12 learning environment anchored directly in their home region.

The district serves a student body of 1,180 learners, comprised of 608 male and 572 female students, with a demographic profile that is predominantly Hispanic (1,152 students) alongside small representations of White, Asian, Black, and American Indian students. To effectively support learning and administrative operations across its campuses, Brooks County ISD maintains a robust workforce of roughly 326 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members. This dedicated team includes approximately 168 FTE classroom teachers, 15 instructional aides, and over 142 support staff personnel, establishing a well-staffed environment designed to meet the academic, developmental, and operational needs of its student population.
