MIDLAND ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL

Midland Academy Charter School is an open, independent public charter district located at 500 N Baird in Midland, Texas. Situated in a vibrant midsize city setting within the greater Midland metropolitan area, this single-campus district delivers a focused educational pathway for students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Functioning as its own local educational agency for federal programs, the academy provides families with a close-knit, community-oriented alternative to traditional public schooling, dedicated to fostering foundational academic achievement and character development across the primary and middle school years.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, the academy educates a diverse student body of 421 pupils, comprised of 214 Hispanic, 155 White, 35 Black, 13 Asian, and 4 multiracial students, with a balanced distribution across the elementary and middle grades. To ensure tailored instruction and a supportive learning environment, the district maintains a robust workforce of roughly 84 full-time equivalent staff members. This team includes approximately 55 dedicated classroom teachers, complemented by instructional aides and specialized support personnel, who together cultivate a well-staffed, student-centered campus environment for local learners.
