SAN DIEGO ISD

Located at 609 W. Labbe Ave. in San Diego, Texas, the San Diego Independent School District is an active, traditional public school district situated within a distant rural community. Serving as a non-charter system, the district operates three public school campuses that deliver a complete educational pathway from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Designed to meet the academic and developmental needs of the local area, San Diego ISD offers a well-rounded curriculum that supports early childhood learning, elementary education, middle school transitions, and comprehensive high school preparation.

The district serves a student body of 1,453 learners, comprising 735 male and 718 female students across all grade levels. Demographically, the student population is overwhelmingly Hispanic, representing 1,428 students, alongside small populations of White, Asian, and multi-racial students. To guide and support these learners, San Diego ISD employs a total workforce of roughly 349 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members. This includes over 202 FTE teaching professionals alongside instructional aides and dedicated support staff, ensuring strong educational coverage and individualized attention for students throughout the rural district.
