WHITEWRIGHT ISD

Located at 315A Highland Drive in Whitewright, Texas, Whitewright ISD serves as an open, traditional public school district within the Sherman-Denison metropolitan region. Nestled in a rural distant community setting, the district provides a comprehensive educational framework across three operational campuses, welcoming students from Pre-Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. Free from charter management, Whitewright ISD offers a continuous, community-rooted learning journey that ensures local families have access to structured primary and secondary education right in their home region.

For the 2024–2025 academic cycle, the district supports a vibrant student body of 801 children, including 359 female and 442 male students. The student population features a diverse demographic landscape, predominantly represented by 579 White and 131 Hispanic students, along with multiracial, Black, American Indian, and Pacific Islander learners. To nurture academic success and maintain daily operations, Whitewright ISD maintains a strong staffing infrastructure of approximately 236 full-time equivalent (FTE) personnel. This dedicated workforce includes around 145 FTE teachers, complemented by instructional aides and over 82 support staff members, ensuring a well-resourced learning environment with low student-to-teacher coverage across all grade levels.
