Excel Center - West

The Excel Center at Lafayette Square is a tuition-free public high school specifically designed for adults who have previously dropped out of the traditional education system and wish to earn their Core 40 high school diploma. Operated by Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana, the school removes common barriers to education by offering flexible scheduling, including morning and evening classes, to accommodate the needs of working students and parents. Beyond academics, the program provides comprehensive support services, such as free onsite childcare, transportation assistance, and dedicated life coaches who help students navigate personal challenges to ensure they stay on track toward graduation.

In addition to earning a high school diploma, students at the Lafayette Square location have the opportunity to gain industry-recognized certifications and dual-credit college courses at no cost. This dual-focus approach is intended to prepare graduates not just for a diploma, but for immediate entry into the workforce or post-secondary education.
