Covenant High School Southwest

Covenant House Academy (CHA) Detroit – Southwest is a specialized public charter high school dedicated to serving young people, aged 16–22, who have faced significant obstacles in their pursuit of an education. Operating within a trauma-informed framework, the school specifically targets students who have previously dropped out or struggled in traditional school settings, including those experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or other life challenges. By providing a safe, supportive, and flexible environment, the academy aims to remove the barriers that typically prevent students from completing their secondary education.

Academically, the school focuses on personalized learning plans that allow students to earn their high school diplomas at their own pace.
